Below are links to public and private agencies that offer service opportunities for teens. This list was assembled by the girls of 8154 in partial fulfillment of the Exploring the Net Interest Project.
Jessie recommends the Special Olympics Volunteer Site.
Liz recommends the I Love a Clean San Diego, which coordinates beach clean-ups and storm-drain stencilling programs.
Do service at the National Parks. Projects can range include trail maintenance, exotic plant removal, forest and grassland restoration, reptile and bird inventories, an even assisting in delivery of park programs to the public alongside National Park Service staff.
