Cadette Challenge

We learned about ourselves, tried new skills, helped others, and had fun working on this pin. Completed May 2003.

Cadette Community Service Bar

Five of us have completed this award by giving 25 hours of service at the Wild Animal Park for the Festival of Lights. Several more girls will be able to complete their 25 hours in 2003.

Cadette Leadership Pin

Some of us completed this as camp program aides or working on their own projects. The rest of the troop earned it when we put together our Thinking Day Event.

Exploring the Net Interest Project

We learned more about computers and the net while working on this interest project. Some of us even added our own pages to this web site! For our service project, we are collecting links to community service sites for teens.

From Dreams to Reality

We learned about the different jobs that people do. Thank you to Sarah A. (a senior Girl Scout) for putting on a badge workshop for us! Here's a Dreams to Reality workshop online. Completed May 2002.

From Fashion to Fitness

We learned our colors, tried new hairdos, and compared images of teen models with reality as part of this IP. Completed April 2002.

From Shore to Sea

We learned about the ocean and all of the creatures who live in it. Completed May 2002.

Plant Life Interest Project

We learned all about soil drainage, making bonsai, and gardening equipment, thanks to the San Diego Bonsai Club. Next, we started several plants without using seeds and added butterfly-friendly plants to Nini's Garden. Completed Spring, 2001.

Program Aide Pin and Patch

Several of us completed a week as Day Camp Program Aides in and earned both these awards.

Writing for Real Interest Project

We learned about a how newspaper articles are written and collected books for non-English speakers as parts of this IP. Completed February, 2002.
