Greetings from Junior Girl Scout Troop #99! We are a group of sixth graders in Bowling Green, Ohio who love Girl Scouting. We stay active with a special event once a month. We've explored Camp Libbey of Maumee Valley Girl Scout Council, learned about the culture of Germany, and visited the wonderful COSI (Center of Science and Industry) in Columbus, Ohio -- and much more! In April '96, our troop started an "ambassa-bear" on a year long tour visiting other Girl Scout troops. We haven't heard from her yet, but hopefully she will return to us by March, 1997 -- in time for the 85th birthday of Girl Scouting in the U.S. This summer, we visited Kelley's Island, toured the Amish area in Northeastern Ohio (Berlin, Millersburg, etc.), and explored Toledo which included stops at the Art Museum's Egyptian exhibit, a Mexican lunch, and going onboard the Willis B. Boyer Museum Ship. Soon, we will go canoeing at Mohican State Park, then in October we'll hike the 17-mile Scout Trail at Oak Openings Metropark. Oh yes, we have regular troop meetings too -- twice a month. We are looking forward to visiting Kelley's Island in Lake Erie soon! Please send us e-mail and let us know what your troop has been doing,
