Parks and Recreation

Yuma boasts an abundance of recreation opportunities. The city maintains several hundred acres of parks, providing opportunities for bicycling, hiking and picnicking. Park facilities include areas for baseball, basketball, soccer and football as well as tennis courts, swimming pools and playgrounds. The city parks and recreation department hosts sports competitions, classes, arts and crafts and other recreational programs. Avenue A and 34th Drive - 27 acres; four soccer/football fields, picnic area, two ramadas, nine lighted tennis courts, playground, and open area.

CARVER PARK/POOL

JIM DEYO RECREATION COMPLEX
Avenue A & 35th Street - 74 acres; four baseball diamonds, one of which is Desert Sun Stadium, clubhouse with 14 rooms, 18-hole municipal golf course on 160 acres.

JOE HENRY MEMORIAL PARK & ATHLETIC COMPLEX
23rd Avenue & Colorado Street - 22 acres; grove of eucalyptus trees, BBQs, picnic tables, two lighted ramadas, playground, lights, three volleyball courts, picnic facilities, three horseshoe pits, and two lighted Little League fields.

MARCUS PARK/POOL
